Bio:
Rev. Dr. Laura B. Sinclair is a graduate of Hartford Seminary, Union Theological Seminary and Adelphi University, where she received her Doctor of Ministry, Master of Divinity and Bachelor of Arts Degree respectively. She also earned a certificate in Pastoral Counseling from the Blanton Peel School of Religion and Health. Rev. Sinclair was licensed in June 1977 and ordained in May 1981. In 2001, she returned to school to become a certified teacher of Special Education K-12 and Elementary Education. She received her certification in 2004. Dr. Sinclair served the Babylon School District in Long Island, N.Y. as both the Human Relations Director as well as a substitute teacher.
Rev. Sinclair is the former Associate Executive Minister for the American Baptist Churches of Metropolitan N.Y. She also served as the Assistant Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church of Corona for 20+ years. In January of 2005, Rev Sinclair was elected pastor of the Parkchester Baptist Church in Bronx, N.Y. In Nov. 2006, Dr. Sinclair was elected to the General Board of ABC-USA and serves on the World Relief Committee. Dr. Sinclair is also a certified Prepare/Enrich Seminar Director which enables, her to conduct workshops equipping clergy, counselors, and mentors with the most effective individual, and couples relationship inventory and program available today.
Rev. Dr. Laura B. Sinclair is the wife of Minister Troy Sinclair (deceased) and the mother of five children: Derek, Steve, Tia, Selina, and Nichelle. She is also the grandmother of nine and the great-grandmother of two.
