Director of Youth Ministry
The Presbyterian Church in Westfield (PCW) welcomes everyone as a witness to Christ’s embrace and seeks to grow together as His disciples. Our congregation has approximately 800 members, with an average Sunday attendance of 350. One of our greatest assets is our Youth Program. We have an active, vibrant weekly Youth Program that seeks to show our youth how to develop a relationship with God, as well as relationships among each other, adult volunteers, and the Director of Youth Ministry (DYM). Additionally, we have a large, dedicated group of adult volunteers plus a Youth Commission that helps
the DYM with the vision of the Youth Program.
We are seeking a full-time DYM for grades 6 through 12. This position is not denomination specific, but our congregation is part of Presbyterian Church (USA).
Experience: It is expected that the DYM has prior experience in a church setting. An advanced degree in Youth/Christian Ministry or Education is preferred.
The successful candidate must possess the following characteristics:
vision and an ability to plan, develop, coordinate, manage and implement a youth ministry within the parameters of PCW
excellent written and verbal communication skills
conflict management skills
an ability to work effectively with youth, diverse individuals, and teams of volunteers
A criminal background check and drug screening are required.

Salary and Benefits: The salary will be commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, the DYM also will be eligible to participate in PCW’s health and 403(b) plans.
