At NBTS, significant emphasis is placed on exposing students to the practice of ministry. As experiences in the field play a major role in formation for ministry, students are required to complete three units of field education, for academic credit, over an academic year and a summer. Students are encouraged to seek placements in a variety of contexts, including the option of enrolling in Clinical Pastoral Education.
