A single commencement exercise is held in May of each year to honor students whose degrees are being conferred at that time, have been conferred the previous December, or by special appeal, will be conferred in August. All candidates must be approved by the Faculty and presented to the Board of Trustees for a confirming vote.
For the granting of a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree, the candidate must complete the required course work for their concentration, successfully defend their project narrative through a public conversation, and submit a final copy of their project narrative (approved by both the Director of the D.Min. program and the Director of the Library) by the second week in May.
For the granting of the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree, the candidate must complete the 96 hours of required and elective courses with a GPA of 2.0 or higher as well as the completion of six units of Field Education.
For the granting of the Master of Arts (M.A.) degree, the candidate must complete the 60 hours of required and elective courses with a GPA of 3.0 or higher as well as the other requirements of the department.
