Q: Is NBTS accredited?
A: Yes, NBTS is accredited by the Association for Theological Schools.
Q: Where are your campuses located?
A: NBTS is one campus in two locations. One in New Brunswick, NJ in the heart of Rutgers University. Our New York campus is located at St. John’s University.
Q: Does NBTS offer scholarships?
A: Yes, our Financial Aid Coordinator will offer assistance after completion of the financial aid application.
Q: If I do not have a bachelors degree can I earn a MDiv degree?
A: Yes, a small percentage of students who meet the following criteria can earn a MDiv without having earned a bachelors degree.
- Be at least of 40 years of age;
- Demonstrate distinguished service to the church and commitment to professional ministry;
- Complete five college courses with a grade of “B” or better at an accredited college or university. These courses must cover five areas: English composition, History, Philosophy Behavioral Sciences (psychology, sociology, or anthropology), and Literature;
- Complete the application
Q: When are classes offered?
A: Primarily evenings Monday – Thursday. Friday and Saturday courses are now available as well as online and hybrid classes. We design the course schedule for accessibility of working adults
Q: What denomination is NBTS?
A: NBTS is rooted in Reformed theology but our students are from over 20 denominations.
