Student Health Insurance Requirements
According to the N.J.S.A., 18A: 62-45, each full time student attending a private institution of higher education
in New Jersey must obtain and maintain health insurance coverage throughout his or her enrollemnt.
Therefore, every person enrolled as a full time student, 12 credit hours or more, at New Brunswick Theological Seminary
must maintain health insurance coverage which provides, at minimum, basic hospital benefits. Every full time student must
present evidence of his or her health insurance coverage to New Brunswick Theological Seminary on an annual basis. Students
will not be able to register for class without proof of health insurance coverage. Proof of coverage should be submitted
to the Office of the Dean of Students.
As full time students at New Brunswick Theological Seminary, students and their dependent family members are eligible to
participate in the group health insurance plan provided by the Reformed Church in America. The application and rate sheet
are available in the Office of the Dean of Students.
