Tues. October 22, 12pm-1:30pm. Lunch Lecture TOPIC: "The Possibility of Love: Dort, Sam Harris and Free Will." PRESENTER: The Rev. Dr. Paul Fries, Professor Emeritus of Foundational and Constructive Theology. LOCATION: The New Brunswick campus, Hertzog Hall. DONATION: $5 includes lunch. No cost to students, faculty, staff. RSVP: Barbara Fillette, Director, Reformed Church Center, NBTS, at bfillette@nbts.edu Without free will, love is impossible. Sam Harris, a leading evangelist of the new atheism, claims free will does not exist. The Canons of Dort testifies that under a certain condition it does. Thus, ironically, the humanistic Harris denies the possibility of love while the sternly Calvinistic confession affirms it. Everyone is welcome to attend. Treat yourself, bring friends and colleagues.
