Reformed Church Center EventsNew Brunswick Theological Seminary Offers Program on Jews and Christians New Brunswick, NJ–Lectures on the relationship between Jews and Christians, and Public Theology in the Netherlands will be held at New Brunswick Theological Seminary in September, according to the director of The Reformed Church Center, The Rev. Dr. Barbara Fillette. On September 29 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dr. Karel Blei and Dr. Corry Blei-Strijbos of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands and Milt Nieuwsma, creator of the Emmy award winning God and the Holocaust documentary, will speak on Christians and Jews: Present, Past, and Future. The day will include a continental breakfast and kosher lunch, a lecture on the Israeli and Palestinian debate within the Dutch Protestant Church, a lecture on what Jewish Holocaust survivors can teach us, and segments of the award-winning Holocaust documentary, Kinderlager (Cost: $35.00). On September 30 from 5:00-6:20 p.m. Dr. Karel Blei will discuss Public Theology and Church Life in the Netherlands. A light supper will be served (Cost: $10.00). The Reformed Church Center promotes reflection on the history, life and witness of the Reformed Church in America and of the broader Reformed tradition. The work of the Center includes lectures, workshops, and seminars for theological reflection, bringing together pastors, teachers, leaders, and scholars to focus on issues of concern for the RCA.
