1. "Healing Through Vitalizing Spirituality of Joy" led by Dr. Angela Son
This workshop will examine the Beatitudes and focus on human emotions of joy explicated in Karl Barth's theological anthropology and Heinz Kohut's psychology of the self. The workshop will then propose joy as the pinnacle of human experience in their relationship to God, agents of joy as a new image of pastoral care, and healing through vitalizing spirituality of joy.
2. "Hospital Ministry for Lay Leaders" led by Professor Raynard
Smith and Chaplain Benjamin Rivera
Caring for one another has always been a part of being Christian community together. How one communicates this has been a challenge and opportunity as well. This workshop will explore the nuts and bolts of demonstrating care in the context of hospital visitations. Its aim is to equip lay people to conduct effective caring ministry in a hospital setting. Listening skills, the do's and don'ts of hospital visitation, and use of spiritual resources shall be discussed.
3. "Worship that Heals" led by Rev. Dr. Renee House & Rev. Dr.
Richard Ruch
This workshop will introduce participants to various aspects of the church's healing ministries, including attention to creating and offering worship services specifically designed to welcome members of the congregation and community into the power of healing within the Body of Christ.
4. "Perspectives on Health Care Reform" led by Rev. Dr. Annari

How does Christianity help in the healing of addictions? What are the 12 reasons for relapses? How can your church offer hope, healing and compassion for persons suffering from addictions?
