We believe in learning ministry by doing it. Under the guidance of a trained pastor/supervisor, you may work with a congregation, social service agency or overseas mission. Reflection groups help you think theologically about your pastoral identity and ministry experiences in church and society. We strongly believe that in addition to excellent classroom preparation, being fit for ministry also entails how one integrates one’s newly found knowledge into servant leadership.
Through New Brunswick Theological Seminary degree programs, students receive a deepened understanding of the theological substance of their faith, coupled with a critical ability to assess the challenges of the broader context in which they will serve. Ultimately, we seek to develop effective leaders who will have a transformative effect in the congregations and communities to which they belong.
